Orton-Gillingham Training on Whizzimo

I am happy to announce a new 30 hour, on-line, on-demand, Orton-Gillingham Course, based on the curriculum of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.  This training opportunity is sponsored by Whizzimo, the premier digital teaching platform for multisensory reading and spelling. It is the ultimate way to conduct teacher training.

Participants will be introduced to the concept of Dyslexia and the biological and neurological aspects.  The Orton-Gillingham Approach will be introduced.  This is the structured, sequential, cumulative, and multi-sensory approach to the teaching of language.  Participants will learn about the diagnosis and prescriptive instruction necessary.  They will be introduced to the Orton-Gillingham Lesson Plan and Student Profile. The course will show how Orton-Gillingham can be integrated into all types of classrooms (self-contained, resource room pullout, mainstream, elementary, middle, and high school) and across all content curriculum.
